Goals
The main objective of IAWA is to promote contact between women who are engaged in professional activities and have certain responsibilities so that they are able to share their experiences. Regardless of which sector they work in, their position or their age, professional women are confronted with similar situations and similar issues.
What sets IAWA apart is friendship and mutual trust.
The meetings, as well as the mutual contacts between members, are primarily focused on friendship, and this informal and open mind-set means people can speak freely about their professional and personal experiences and concerns.

When putting together the annual programme, a balance is ensured between company visits, cultural events and talks. The monthly events, which we mostly try to have on the third Thursday of every month, alternately take place in Brussels, Flanders and Wallonia and consist of an afternoon or evening programme, concluded by a meal where friendships and informal contacts can be strengthened. A short trip is organised every year. IAWA News, which is published every trimester, reports on previous events and presents summaries of interesting publications and news stories by and for members.
